i have a 115 merc outboard that apears to have a starter locked up.
any way to be sure without removing starter?. i charged the battery, and all i get is a click at the silonid. the starter is not spinning? can i jump the two connections on the starter?. are these starters rebuildable? any help would be nice. thanks, koz |

Jump the 2 big wires on the solenoid. If the starter takes off, replace the
solenoid. If not you can have the starter rebuilt. -- Bill Chesapeake, Va "kozmo6969" wrote in message om... i have a 115 merc outboard that apears to have a starter locked up. any way to be sure without removing starter?. i charged the battery, and all i get is a click at the silonid. the starter is not spinning? can i jump the two connections on the starter?. are these starters rebuildable? any help would be nice. thanks, koz |
