I have always used 50 hrs. and at the end of the season. I think that is
what the manu. recommended.

You only need one filter change.

Not true. It is a factor of how many hours you put on the engine during
the season. A good rule of thumb is an oil change every 100 hours or at
least once/season.

And the best time to change it, if it is only once/season, is before the
winter layover.
