PS - Since I change the oil myself, it normally only costs $15 or so, cheap
insurance. Then again, I change my impeller every two years in the spring.

JimH,
I have always used 50 hrs. and at the end of the season. I think that is
what the manu. recommended.

If you wanted the ideal situation, change your oil after and before the

The right answer.
You only need one filter change.
Not true. It is a factor of how many hours you put on the engine during
the season. A good rule of thumb is an oil change every 100 hours or at
least once/season.
And the best time to change it, if it is only once/season, is before the
winter layover.
