They offered over 1,000 in medical personnel and medical supplies as well as
other supplies. Yes according to what I have read, Castro offered his help right after the hurricane and as of today we have not responded to his request. The least that I felt our government could of done was thank him but decline it if we in fact didnt need it. "PocoLoco" wrote in message ... I obviously missed that....and if what you say is correct, I apologize.\ So what financial commitments were made by the Canadian government? What did they offer, Ed? Did we actually snub them, or did we just not have a requirement and use for the help yet? -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." |

Bush probably doesn't realize that Cuba is in the Caribbean, and may have a
bit of experience with hurricanes. "ed" wrote in message ... They offered over 1,000 in medical personnel and medical supplies as well as other supplies. Doug I have to admit that this is a very odd set of questions to me.I love
the freedoms that I have now and will fight to keep them. I won't go into my age so much as to say that I grew up practicing "duck and cover" to save ourselves in the event that Castro threw a bomb our way! I was told in another post that I have no right to judge, but I am guilty of "Having no knowledge of diversity"(thank you Ed}.I ask you now,Do you have any issues with communists and or dictators? Man have we really strayed from the boating thread? So here goes: I have a 1959 lonestar that I enjoy on the Potomac river with my teenage son. First of all, communism never had a chance, but I'm not about to debate
that. What I will point to is your serious inconsistency in flaming Castro, while we do billions of dollars with China, a country which makes Cuba look like paradise. And, remember that we ignore or sell arms to quite a few dictators. As it exists today, communism is nothing but a fancy name for another path to political jobs, just like here. agree with what Castro does, but who are we to judge ? We can learn from other cultures. Ed "Brian Irvin" wrote in message ...
