I seem to recall reading somewhere that the public could tour a decommissioned sub in either Boston or Baltimore. The Navy web sites aren't much help with this sort of thing. Anyone got any info on such things? Not quite Boston, but close... Fall River http://www.battleshipcove.org/ss298-history.htm There are a few places around the country... Patriots Point in Charleston SC for example. The problem is that it's not viable as a commercial tourist operation unless it's heavily subsidized, and the ships are basically let rust except for the few spaces open to the public.
