basic outboard repair question
hi,
I've just a got old 4 hp mariner (maybe late 80's model). I need to remove the fuel hose from the internal gas tank connector. it's extremely tight, is there a special tool for that? there's some kind of decoupler between this hose and the one going to the carburator, what is the purpose of this thing, is it simply just a decoupler? any comments are welcomed. this is my first outboard. thanks. ps. the reason i wanted to remove the hose is because fuel is leaking from the connetion between the tank and the rod that's controlling the open/close valve. s.o. |
