PS:

JohnH,
When Kevin made up his story, I think he wanted to say he owned a Ducati.
My guess is Kevin drove his Moto Guzzi 'Desmo' around the U of Penn campus.

Kevin,
I am curious, with all the good motorcycles available in the US, why did
you buy a Moto Guzzi 'Desmo'?

Kevin, tell us about your Moto Guzzi!

No one cares about Moto Guzzis or whether the person you are
questioning
had one, rode one, crashed one, or urinated in the fuel tank of
one.
It's not a brand of bike I would even consider, if I were
considering
buying a motorcycle. It's a has-been line.

Harry, it was your buddy doing the bragging about owning a Moto
Guzzi. Why now
are you trashing his taste in motorcycles?

--
First, idiot, I didn't BRAG about owning a Guzzi. Simply stated I
owned
one once. And it WAS a piece of crap.

Yeah, I hear the "Desmo" version left a lot to be desired. Be careful,
if it was
a real 'Desmo', then it was a Ducati. Harry thinks Duc's rule. Don't be
stepping
on his toes about your piece of crap Ducati!

Sorry, John, but you are apparently out of your league here, if you
don't think that Moto Guzzi made a Desmo, before Ducati. WAY out,
apparently.

Well, what year was your Moto Guzzi 'Desmo'? I'd love to learn more about
it!

Well, he wanted to say he owned 'something'. Maybe he keeps his Guzzi "Desmo" on
a lobsta boat somewhere.

JohnH,

GMTA ; )

I wonder why the NG's most prolific liberal posters feel they need to boost
their egos in rec.boats? What happened that they are not satisfied by their
real life?

Tell me does this remind you of anyone:

Narcissistic
Personality Disorder. The symptoms of NPD is: A pervasive pattern of
grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of
empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts,
as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates
achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without
commensurate achievements)
(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance,
beauty, or ideal love

(3) believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be
understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people
(or institutions)

(4) requires excessive admiration

(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of
especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her
expectations

(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to
achieve his or her own ends

(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings
and needs of others

(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him
or her

(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes
