Hello all
I have a 3hp force/mariner outboard, 10 years old, 2 stroke. Has worked very well for the 2 years I've owned it, but recently developed a problem: The outboard starts fine, idles fine, but when I go to rev it beyond 1/3rd or so throttle it dies. I have cleaned the insides of the carb, cleaned the tank and the fuel line and replaced the spark plug. The problem seems to rectify itself for a few seconds if I put the choke on momentarily.... I am running a 1 in 75 oil mix. Any ideas? Best regards Simon Marshall http://www.narrowboat-havana.co.uk |
