The heat will make the glue release. It won't make the glue adhere again.
Most just take them off and leave them off. If you want you can order new ones from SeaRay and leave them in a safe place until you get ready to sell the boat. Then install to make the boat look like it has been took care of. -- Tony my boats and cars at http://t.thomas.home.mchsi.com - "Seedy" wrote in message news:NT3ue.76410$x96.45898@attbi_s72... Thanks for the help. I'm curious though, if you can take them off with a heat gun can't you put them back on with one? Seedy. "Shortwave Sportfishing" wrote in message ... I have a simple problem, the decals on my boat (Sea Ray) are starting to come off. How do you get them stuck back down? If they are decals, then you can get new ones from Sea Ray. Use a heat gun, remove the old ones and replace them - there is no way to properly reglue the decal. If it's a placard type deal, then epoxy will do you fine. |
