Default Rebuilt Engine for 89 Bayliner 2.3 ford cobra

Where can I find a rebuilt engine to replace the 2.3 ford cobra engine
in my 89 Bayliner? I am not sure what engine is suitable or where to
find it.

Thanks,

Jeff

Do a google search and check in the phone book. There are numerous
resources available and if you buy locally you will save substantial
shipping charges. Some shops will also be cheaper than others.

What is the problem with the engine? Maybe a rebuild would be cheaper.

That engine should be the same as in a Ford Ranger pickup truck. if
it's carburated, it would go all the way back to the "Pinto" .

W/exception of manifolds, it should be extremely common.

The automotive and the "industrial" versions were the same as far as I
know, that is with exceptiopn of the Starter. The "Industiral" used a
Lucas Starter, whale the "Automotive used a Motocraft. The difference
was in the flywheel used for a Rockford clutch on the industiral
stationary models.
