Dumb question about zincs
I understand the basic principles of the sacrificial zincs on my outdrive.
Just one question as I replace them for this season: are they supposed to make a good electrical connection to the surface they are mounted on or should they be isolated? Or does it matter either way? Thanks, Gil |

Dumb question about zincs
AND for God's sake, DON'T paint 'em!
Also there is a difference in "zincs" for salt water and fresh water use. Salt requires a real zinc "zinc", fresh needs an alum. alloy "zinc", though if the boat is kept on a trailer it may not be an issue for you, check with other boaters in your area. Best wishes Mike |

Dumb question about zincs
If you understand zincs, you wouldn't be asking the question. Yes, there
has to be a good connection. Clean the surface before attaching. Gordon "Gil" wrote in message news:Ooylc.7757$%o1.1142@lakeread03...
