I have a 47 pound thrust minnkota motor on the bow of my boat. At 5
(it highest setting) the motor thrust makes all kind of noise as the brackets and linkage tighten. Does anyone have a circuit for soft starting the motor? Meaning, slowly bringing the motor up to full speed over several seconds and not all at once. I would guess the motor draws 30 amps or so. I know it less than 40 because it has a 40 amp fuse. I normally only run it at 3 but sometime wind or current require 5. I think the excess noise can scare the fish. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks Paul |
