HI
I have a 16'6" v bottom crestliner with a 25hp tiller ob on it. It weighs 750# empty. With 2 200lb adults, 2 9 year old children, 2 6 gal gas tanks, Anchor, coolers, fishing stuff etc… it will do 20mph with a 11" inch prop. More than enough for where I fish. By myself with one tank and the extra chairs removed and a 13" inch prop it will do 26mph on a good day. Just to give you an idea on speed. I have been looking to replace my motor with this one though for more speed. http://www.smalloutboards.com/j5598.htm Paul New to Boating wrote in message ... Cruising at moderate speeds, around 15mph is the goal. Is this underpowered @ 25-30 hp? Thanks! |
