Harry have you apologized to your wife yet? You really should be proud of
her, the world needs good social workers, and there is nothing to be embarrassed about. "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Joe wrote: wrote in message ink.net... I beg your pardon Joe. Being a full blood Cherokee, I take pride in the fact that my people are "Native" to this land. You can choose to believe it, or not. And your relatives migrated to here from...where was it, again...ahhh...Uranus. Right, Joe? |

Except for Yale, New Haven does not have much to offer, it looks like the
majority of the town is ready for urban renewal. "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Calif Bill wrote: "Gould 0738" wrote in message ... Practicing that witchcraft, were they? Historical interruption to Kerry debate: Everybody put to death in Topsfield and Essex County was innocent. Without exception. Many went to their deaths defiantly proclaiming their devout Christian faith. Others were terrorized into false confessions. (There are some serious differences between observing old rituals, practicing natural healing, revering natural order, and being in league with Satan). My ggggg....grandfather, Zaccheus, was one of the original stakeholders of Topsfield. Mary Estey, Rebecca Nurse, and Sarah Cloyce (the Towne sisters) are all great aunts. If you wanted to see the devil at work in 1692, you didn't have to look any farther than Inquisitor Hawthorne and his gang of religious zealot thugs. Maleus Malificarum indeed. What a crock. Hell of a tragic way to settle some festering community disputes as well as squabbles over church doctrine and real estate boundaries. My relatives were smarter. They immigrated to New Haven, Conn. In the mid 1600's. Avoided that burning stench. Bill Hmmm. I was born in New Haven and spent the first 18 years of my life there. I did encounter a few pasty-faced, no-necked banjo players...must have been your relatives, eh? |

I believe there is something to the claim of moldy rye that started it but, once it got going I believe some used it as an excuse to do some land grabbing. |

All of my family, from the 1800's forward, have been born and raised in the US. I see that you are new to this land. Welcome. I bet you are newer. Some of us came over on the first boat and others a few years later. One side of the family had a problem in Salem, Mass. a few years ago and they moved north. What boat did you come over on? |

Are you talking about a publication like Conde Nast Traveller? No. I am talking about the fact that you mentioned that without regional cuisine and music this country would be boring. That's not true. But it is constantly put forth by the common rags that *diversity* is a requirement, that *we* are all better for it. Bull****. Where did you ancestors come here from? All of my family, from the 1800's forward, have been born and raised in the US. How is this relevent to anything? Well, your comment about diversity probably doesn't come from ideas or feelings which exist in a vacuum, right? I keep seeing where diversity is a good thing, but I have yet to see a reason why. Can you say why diversity is a good thing? |

No matter what anybody says about anything, you'll chime in about how smart you and your family are! I've proven you wrong on several occasions, so that must make me genius. |
