At only 23 feet, this boat is primarily designed*for cruising and
overnighting, offering more ammenities and a higher trim level than boats
of comparable size.**** Her 260HP V8 brings her on plane quickly with
plenty of power to spare.*** Based on the my ownership experience with
only one other I/O powered boat, I think she rides a little harsh in chop,
but handles quite well in docking maneuvers, even for a novice like
myself.*** I don't know what her fuel economy is but on my longest trip on
Lake Erie from Rocky River to Sandusky (50 miles) , I believed she burned
less than 25 gallons of fuel in 1-2 foot waves as I cruised at 28-30mph.

The boat is in pretty good condition for its age.** I am only the third
owner* as of 10/2002.** The second owner used the boat sparingly before
properly winterizing storing the vessel indoors for over twelve years.**
The engine has less than 350 hours and runs beautifully.* The hull,
exterior decking, and upholstery are in very good condition with only
minor scratches and a very small rip to the passengers lounge seat. .* The
cabin interior is in very good condition, with no rips.*

The boat is needs nothing, and is ready to use upon spring commisioning,
but she could use some TLC to realize her full potential.*** For example,
there is at least one cabin leak to find and seal up. * The interior
cushions could use cleaning.** The hull and topsides could use some
reconditioning to remove the weathering on the gelcoat.** Framing needs to
be purchased for the cockpit enclosure.* A fixed snap here or there.*
Possible canvas window covers.* The gimbal bearing and outdrive u-joints
are due for lubrication.** The water system (for kitchen and bathroom
sinks) needs to be looked at (low pressure).*** Sticky companionway door.
These are non-critical things I will be addressing this season as I
commission and use the boat while she is offered for sale.

Not including any trailor or extras, NADA lists a lesser equipped Chris
Craft 232AC for $6180.00 average retail. ** The BUC book list this
model*at $5550.00 to $6350.00*for a boat without options in only average
condition.** My asking price of $7800.00 is with the extras listed on the
web site, an excellent tandem axle trailer, and* assumes most of the "TLC
items" I've listed were addressed by me, putting the boat in "Above BUC"
to "Bristol" condition (a 20% premium over BUC price).*

Before I adress these issues, I will be VERY FLEXIBLE ON MY ASKING PRICE,
as have my eye on a larger vessel, which would be more suitable for the
type of cruising I like to do.* Obviously as I address these issues I will
become more firm on what I consider to be a very resonable asking price
for a boat in better condition and lower hours than most boats her age.
Since I have a buyer for the trailer, I WILL NEGOTIATE THE PRICE OF THIS
VESSEL WITH OR WITHOUT THE TRAILER.

Interested parties can contact me at my email address:

or via phone at : 216-849-8468.

Please leave a message regarding the boat with your name and an appropriate
time to return your call if I am unavailable. For ANY interested party I
will make myself available to show the boat and am willing to offer a sea
trial to serious buyers once she is re-commissioned for the 2004 season.

Thanks for your interest.

Is that a Norwegian Elkhound?

Yes, and her name is Grete.** She hates the water, but loves to go boating!
Protects the boat, very playful, loves everybody, gets along well with almost
every animal, does not wander from yard or marina,* doesn't bark much at all.

Except for her shedding, you'll never meet a more perfect dog.* I wonder
if this great nature, is inherent in the breed.
