Browns Lake? Burlington, WI! I kept my boat there for a few years when
I lived in N. Illinois. We had a lot of fun on that little lake. I
even got to visit the Burlington Hospital one afternoon when my friend
mistook "get the slack out" for "hit it!" and the ski rope broke my
index finger.

The marina is now a house or two, or three. What is/was the name of the
bar/restaurant next door?

I was beginning to wonder.

My dad and I spent many fun hours together fishing off a 16 foot aluminum
fishing boat. Lots of fond memories.


I guess you could say "my" very first boat was my Uncles 16 foot Lund
that he used to let me run around Brown's Lake near Racine, WI. When
we visited, that's where I headed straight from the car - start the
old Evinrude and spend the afternoon on the lake.


We are heading out at 5 pm today for an evening cruise and swim on our
friends 26 foot Lyman. With temperatures today expected to top out at 92 F
it will certainly be refreshing.


The weather has been hot and humid. We went from late Winter to
Hot/Humid Summer in one day.
