outboard bogs...points?

I have an older (1966) 100 hp Merc that bogs under load. Newer (last year)
wires, rotor, cap...rebuilt carbs $ fuel pumps. Compression is good
(121-130). Ran fine 'til this year. The points look pitted (they were not
replaced), could this be the problem?
