We would typically splash our boat during the 1st week of May and pull it out by mid October, logging an average of 60-65 engine hours/year. Fishing rarely involved trolling.....mainly drifting or at anchor. The majority of the boat use was to cruise to beaches for swimming while at anchor and to other ports on Lake Erie including Leamington, Canada and the Islands. We would also head up to Metro Beach on Lake St. Clair once/year. How about you? I sail and motor year round, and have for several decades. I own no less than 23 boats/ships, and piolit them all my self. I own about 19 waterfront homes around the world, in about 13 differnt countries. I have too many marine certs and licenses to brgine to list here, and I also own 9 marinas. I am also a major shareholder in 16 different marine companies. My favorite boat is my 36' Zimmerman lobster boat, that me and my wife (of 35 years my junior) go out on the bay. She also holds a triple PHD. My primary house has a two mile driveway, and my next door neigbor is a sucessful lawyer. If you dont believe me, send me $6000, and I will show you paper work for everything Ive said, and let you "look" at my property.
