Over 600 hours. Primarily on USCG Safety patrols of 8 hours, at least twice a week. Mostly just at 10-12 knots, a few minutes on plane (15-20 knots) if going someplace in particular. Used to take the grandchildren wakeboarding several times a month during the summer, but with all the patrols and some traveling, didn't get to do much recreational boating the last couple of years. (19'bowrider http://members.cox.net/wgander/family_boat.htm) Just wondering William...are the Coast Guard people good at reimbursing you for use of your boat? Do you just get gas...or do they pay some kind of hourly/mileage charge? |
