![]() "r_d" wrote in message groups.com... Hi all, I just got the kit to convert an 1986 points ignition to an electronic ignition. Its a prestolite system on a V8 chevy 350. Has anybody done this conversion and did you have any issues. If you bought the factory conversion kit, it comes with complete instructions and an updated shift module. It only takes minutes to install and hook up. Set the timing and you are ready to go boating. If you bought an off-brand setup, then your present shift module may not work correctly with it. Make sure the manaufacturer has instructions on using the product with OMC Cobra stern drives. Bill Grannis service manager |
