How the hell could Bush or the Secret Service have possibly said, "There is no immediate threat" as long as airplanes were still flying around the country? This "Bush was a coward" stuff is totally inane. You folks say it to keep your lib circle jerk going, but it's ridiculous. It's a non-issue. They could've simply taken him to Christfield's, an excellent seafood place in Silver Springs, and he would've been safe. However, I think he would choked on a lobster claw, so perhaps it *was* better that they got him onto an airplane. Thank God for sanity! John H I guess. He also could've poked himself in the eye with the lobster tool. |

news ![]() The locals are in jail, but the financiers and planers aren't. You should write to your leader and ask him why he helped the financiers leave the country so quickly. Nobody likes to discuss that. |

But Bush could have choked on a "arster" shell. Why no lobster? Don't they ship any in from up North? Chrisfeld's tends to specialize in "local" shellfish, such as oysters and crabs, and sometimes clams. But they do have shrimp, too. There are plenty of places around that serve lobster. OK. I was there 10 years back with my grandma. Didn't even think of lobster at the time. But, the thought of Shrub mismanaging a lobster claw is funny enough to belong on Saturday Night Live. :-) |

You can either say that the President was in imminent danger, which is BS, or that he was ordered to flee by underlings, which is pretty much the truth. Neither changes the fact that on Sept 11th, President George Bush Jr was a disgrace. He acted like a chicken****. And that's a fact. You don't like it, tough. You have pretty much shown that Bush and/or Cheney could **** on your dinner table and you'd pass the toilet paper and ask which fork to use. Why should your opinion carry any weight? DSK |

Run by the same group of ringleaders. And the fact the building did not collapse was luck. Luck, and that it was built better than they knew. As for getting the ringleaders, that's always the illusive goal, isn't it? Same with the drug war. And for every ringleader that *does* get caught, there's a huge expensive legal battle to follow, and an eager (and possibly more dangerously competent) #2 man to fill the shoes. That is not to say that I think it's a waste of time going after them... just that it's an order of magnitude (maybe several) more complex & difficult to find and successfully prosecute them, than it is to get the operatives & agents. Meanwhile, it appears that President Bush is having a lack of success at getting the ringleaders, too. Any comment on that Calif Bill? So far the only ones he's gaffed are from Iraq... which is pretty much of a sideshow & a red herring in the war on terrorism. ...The fact they tried and failed actually saved lives on 9/11. There were people who said to stay in the building it was safe and those that had been through the earlier event, were smart enough to say. Nah. We're leaving. The locals are in jail, but the financiers and planers aren't. A lot of the financiers, and possibly some of the planners, are being actively shielded by the Bush Administration. Why do *you* think they are stonewalling the Sept 11th investigation? Why do *you* think that so many Saudi officials, and the Bin Laden family, were all given free rides to secure locations? I don't think that BushCo was actually complicit, I think they just had their heads in the sand because after all, Clinton getting a blow job was more important... and they are arrogantly positive that their 'friends' must be above suspicion. In fact John Ashcroft seems to think it's a point of law. DSK |

You are one of four here that make wild allegations, assumptions, and statements based on absolutely NO fact. You John, not me. What would you say about someone's credibility that makes such statements, and presents them here as fact? |
