Most of these solo types are very focused and competitive. From what
I've read, Amelia Earhart was much the same way.

But Ellen and Amelia have made really outstanding accomplishments in
fields occupied by self-driven obsessives (assholes), so I think they'd
probably stand above most in that ranking. I don't know about Amelia
Earhart, but Ellen is at least polite and well-spoken (and very very
focussed)

Good for her - I'm glad she accomplished something spectacular.
