And yes they were nasty and had some very difficult civil laws to obey, and not a whole lot of legal protection like we have today. And yet we are told in Romans 12 to obey the authorities. The early church was also told to obey as well, as nasty as they were! They even threw them to the lions for sport! I can be glad for modern civil law. TnT |
