I agree it is a nice looking boat, but my in opinion, you are priced at a
level where there are very few potential buyers for that particular boat.
There are so many boats in SW Florida in that size range for a lot less
money. Unless I missed something on your auction site, my first concern
would be the amount and no warranties on the engines.

We just purchased a new boat, and Yamaha is running a special deal on an
extra 3 years added onto the 2-yr factory warranty at no additional charge.
Well, I gotta figure they are getting their money somewhere, but I just got
a five year warranty.

That's my take too. His price is "fair", but you ain't gonna get full retail
value on Ebay.

Sure, you provide a picture, but the pictures are a far cry from being able
to personally inspect it. You can't start the engines and listen to them
run via the net. You can't take it for a test drive before you commit.

I don't think that Ebay is a good way to sell such a boat. Try

I have sold many items on ebay including a boat, I have also bought the
2002 Truck I own and my current boat on ebay.

Ebay is a buyers market, unless you have something unique. you are not going
to get top dollar for anything on ebay unless it is unique.
The way I think you should have went with your auction is to have set a
lower buy it now, forget about getting $40k. set buy it now for $38k.
Be willing to take less for a quick sale. start the bidding at say $25k with
a reserve at $37k. that way you get interest in the boat because no one
knows what it will sell for. and the bargains hunters will watch and bid on
it as well. Pretty much all bidding happens as soon as you list the item and
in the last hour. Many people look at "newly listed" to take advantage of
good deals, But the real bidding happens in the last few minutes.

300 HP on a 24 foot boat seems a bit underpowered.


I'll bet the top speed is right near or above 50 mph. Underpowered????

In most cases, purchases such as these ARE based on buyers physical inspection
before closing of the deal. Maybe this should have been included in the
description.
I bought my new Toyota Tundra off Ebay. It was from the Ft Myers area and If I
was not satisfied when I inspected it, the deal was off with no hard feelings.
That was made clear upfront.

I hadn't looked at feedback. IMHO that account is fairly hosed for making
big deal type deals. That's not a real impressive feedback ratio.

About 48 MPH, if you don't mind cruising at 5300 RPM and 30 GPH. I'm
surprised that 300 HP is the maximum HP. So, it isn't really
underpowered. It is offered at $37,000. Interested?





Not a bad guess!

If I was in the market for that size boat, I'd probably come over and look at
it.

I'm on a new plan. If it doesn't fit on a trailer in my side yard, I don't want
it. Never going to pay dockage fees and the outrageous marina gas prices again.
(Unless I hit the lottery)
