Close, butt no cigar....(Clinton joke)

Clinton attacked bin Ladin a few times during his term, launching cruise
missles into his training camps, etc.

However, since the Republican witch hunters in congress had *their* minds on
using Clinton's sex life to try to hound him from office, he met with
resistance every step of the way.

He was accused of "wagging the dog" when he launched missles against Al Qaida,
- trying to divert the nation's attention from more important matters like
lying under oath about an extra marital sexcapede. When he listened to faulty
intelligence and clobbered an aspirin factory in the Sudan, he was reviled as
the dumbest piece of crap ever to set foot in the oval office. (A rather
different response than when a Republican got us into the current
mess.....supposedly as the result of faulty intelligence).

One could counter with the observation that if your witch hunters had let the
man alone to do his job, he might have been more effective at it.

Our definitions of 'attack' differ.

One could counter your argument with the observation that if Clinton
had kept his pants zipped, the witch hunting wouldn't have started.

Are you suggesting that Bush hasn't been reviled?

The GOP witch hunting started long before Clinton's fooling around was
discovered.

Clinton couldn't keep his pants zipped in the '70's. Are you saying that the
GOP was after Clinton in the '70's?

Lately? Are you saying that before "lately", the comment was valid? I'm not
sure where you're from, but I suspect you've seen this kind of murderous
behavior before, and are in denial.

I know you righties want to give your boy Dubya a pass, but the fact
remains that Bush was captain of the ship on 9-11, and therefore 9-11
happened on his watch and was his responsibility. Perhaps if he had
taken a shorter vacation that summer or had the IQ to pay more attention
to the warnings, he might have done something -anything- to mitigate
what happened in 9-11.

Bush was asleep at the wheel before, on, and after 9-11. He still is
clueless about fighting terrorism. He thinks the military is the answer.

ok Harry, and while I am not looking to pick sides, what could President
Bush realistically have done to mitigate what happened? And to consider the
other side, what could 'any' president have done in advance of the attacks?

hardly makes him a great leader...one has to question the judgement
of anyone that would follow a person like that...reminds me of some
recent religious "leaders" that can't seem to keep their "baloney"
holstered...

pretty funny...imho......
