Our VHS instructor at the Power Squadron said......you don't say over and
out.
It's one or the other...
over .....to let the other participant have the airwaves
out........to sign off.
Was he right?

What he said is the proper procedure in the military. (Unless they've
changed recently.)

Hey, Fritz, here's an idea. How about, instead of laughing your lonely
ass off, or childish name calling, why don't you actually say something
of substance? For a start, I listed many, many reasons why Atlanta is a
world class city. You've done NOTHING to dispute that, except, because
you are bitter over your wife leaving you, resort to childish name
calling. Care to try now?

However, all this is mute because anybody who has ever listened to
marine VHF along the east or west coast, it's as bad as CB. :)

Not in my corner of the world. I live in a major seaport/naval base and
sometimes turn on my handheld and scan 5 or 6 channels just to see what's
going on. 95% of the time it's very professional and quiet time occurs
at
least 70 % of the time.
We also have a Coast Guard base here so this might encourage the locals
to
behave.

You obviously don't live near Long Island Sound or Narragansett/Rhode
Island/Martha's. :)

*Greater* Halifax has a population of 370,000*......far from what one would
consider even a moderately populated city. I would guess the city itself
has a population well under 100,000. Major indeed. LOL

Wrong again! Back in the '90s amalgamation was forced upon the cities of
Halifax & Dartmouth, the town of Bedford and the remaining areas of Halifax
County by the province. It is now one 'big' city. Or 'Super City' as the
provincal idiots liked to call it.

Asslicker would have to stop posting, we couldn't have that.....he's far
more entertaining than krause WRT stupid posts.

What he really needs is some serious meds to overcome his mental
