Default Old Town PACK Canoe question

Anyone using an Old Town PACK solo canoe? Or have past experience? Looking
for comments positive or negative. Looking at a used one that is for sale.

I used a friends pack a few times.

It was not the most solid boat (in Royalex). there was some oil
canning, i.e., the bottom of the boat would flex a lot as I moved in
the boat.

It was slow, but it would turn nicely.

I would not want to put much gear in it, keep it for day trips,
instead of overnight stuff.

They are light enough for kids to paddle, but they are rather wide.

They have made them forever, they don't come up for sale too often.
If you buy used, I bet you get your money back in a years time, if you
don't like it.

What the heck, hardly any risk, I say, go for it.

My OTC Pack is great!. I have had it for many years now and it has
never failed me. I have solo'd in it from Boundary Waters ( an awsome
4 night trip )in and around Baskatong Lake all the way to 9 mile pond
in the Everglades where I saw many gators to close for comfort. It is
a great little lightweight solo canoe. Doesn't track to well, but a
double bladed paddle will solve that. I have been in choppy water up
to 1 foot waves and kept it going but my cruising ground is mostly
Flat water so I can't really give much info on class 1,2,3,waters.
Get one Their Fun.
