There's lot's of bass, crappie, and blue gill in the St. John's river
just to the west!

John H

On the 'PocoLoco' out of Deale, MD,
on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay!

I believe the St. Johns River ends in Central Florida quite a bit north
of Cocoa Beach, which is on the Atlantic Coast.

I think it keeps going, at least from Lake Poinsett to Lake Winder and
south.

Don't know if this will work, but will try anyway:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...58&mqmap.y=146

Click on the lake to the southwest of Cocoa and follow the river down.
Between these two lakes, the river is only about twenty yards wide,
but its banks are full of bass. Cane pole poppin' is a favorite way to
catch them.

The link worked fine and made me jealous.

Wish our boating season was longer up here. Oh well, at least I get to fish
from shore for Rainbow Trout (Steelheads) that run into the rivers in the
fall. They put on some good acrobatics when you tie into them. All catch and
release for me, they taste awful.

Regards
John S

I would rather be boating!

Makes me jealous too. The Chesapeake is getting cold! And windy! This
Friday I had plans to go fishing, but the temperature's going down and
the rain's coming in. Cold is OK, wet is OK, but cold and wet sucks.

The link surprised me when I posted it. Must be about three feet long
all stretched out!
