At least with current technology, a gun still needs metal to surround the round in the chamber, even if the rest of the thing is made of a composite material. Okay, even if that were true (which it isn't - think "high tech ceramics") what would the weapon you describe look like going through a baggage xray? It sure wouldn't look like a gun if all you saw was a metal tube. BB Oh for cryin' out loud....spend an evening browsing web sites belonging to Smith & Wesson, Kahr, Glock, Springfield, Ruger and a host of others. Find me some handguns whose slides don't look like slides. |
