I have a 2003 Four Winns Fish n' Ski I/O and the speedometer quit working.
I'm not sure where to start looking for problems. There isn't anything
hanging underneath the boat, but I checked for weeds and the like. I want
to make sure I'm not missing anything simple before I contact the dealer.

If you have an I/O there might be a hole or port in the leading edge of the
bullet shaped lower leg that has a thin hose going to the guage. If so it
could be blocked by sea weed, etc right at the entry point. You also could
take off the hose from the back of the guage and blow back thru it with some
compressed air. Of course you could also have a paddle wheel pick up on your
depth finder transducer which electrically actuates the guage.

There is a small hole in the front of the leg that feeds a hose to the
speedo. It is probably plugged. Take a small about 1/8" drill big and
using your fingers clean out the hole.

it had to be something simple but wasn't sure how it was actuated. I
appreciate your time. I'll take care of it tomorrow.
