The answer is simple, yahoo is one of the most well known of the
anonymous servers.

While you are wary, and annoyed, there are thousands, or hundreds of
thousands, of potential "targets" that may view the spam. Spammers
concentrate on spooging (or, "spoofing") the addresses of the most
common ISP's and servers. That way, they have the best chance of
getting you (them) to read it.

For those that block domains, they are still vulnerable, and may lose
"valid" correspondence by blocking an entire domain.
