for one day and today it started with no problem.-

Good Stuff! 'Em old diesels are pretty tough - I talked to a Gent who got
his from a boat that had been submerged for 5 years - he was now
circumnavigating Vancouver Island with it.

Charge problem sounds like regulator to me.
