"Gould 0738" wrote in message ... Isn't it amazing how these RepubliCraps go after any, even their own, who don't toe the line? It really is a BORG-like collective. Some of our conservative friends are embarrassed by McCain. Particularly when he condemns sick, twisted, screwball attacks and dirty politics. Nobody notices or cares when the *victim* gripes about the low blows. The offenders can even say, "Oh, there was nothing wrong with distorting the truth, it's just politics so it's OK. What dirty-arsed trick can we think of for next week?" However, when a guy on your own side says, "Hold on, that's untrue and dirty!" it's like that pesty voice of conscience that the offenders have been rationalizing away all along. It's uncomfortable. Nobody wants to get a good look at their own behavior when it is reprehensible. Sort of like Zel Miller being ashamed of the tactics of the Democratic party? |

Sort of like Zel Miller being ashamed of the tactics of the Democratic
party? That's an excellent comparison, and it's rather frank of you to admit that the dirt is a "tactic" of the Republican party. If there has been a groundswell of liberal attacks on Miller, however, I've missed it. You don't have to go any farther into the world than this little NG to see right wingers insulting McCain ("whiner", etc) for trying to promote some sort of honesty in presidential politics. |

If there has been a groundswell of liberal attacks on Miller, however, I've missed it. Lets just wait until he speaks at the Republican Convention. You don't have to go any farther into the world than this little NG to see right wingers insulting McCain ("whiner", etc) for trying to promote some sort of honesty in presidential politics. I recall you and the other libs attacking something the Zel Miller said when it was posted on this board. Hypocrite. |

I recall you and the other libs attacking something the Zel Miller said when
it was posted on this board. Hypocrite. Guess again. I don't recall ever attacking Zel Miller. Or anything he said. That's a good tactic, although you need to add a technique or two. Most discussions with you wind up with, "Oh, yeah? You don't have a leg to stand on because even though my side is lousy your side is worse!" Or, a Clintonesque word game (such as "I said major"). |

But as your buddy Krause always says....find it yourself if you need a link. ;-) |

Since you recall it, perhaps you will refresh my memory regarding what it was I said? The burden of proof is on the accuser. At least that's the way it always used to be, and will be again (hopefully sooner rather than later). |

"jps" wrote in message ... In article , says... Sort of like Zel Miller being ashamed of the tactics of the Democratic party? Zell Miller hasn't been a Democrat in years. He uses his political position and a fulcrum and pulpit. Few Democrats pay attention while the Republicans all hail. Zell and Calf Bill are twins. jps He is older. We are moderates. You do not have to be an extreme lefty as most of you Dem's that are posting, to be a democrat. You must have thought Harry S. Truman was an extreme righty also. |
