he condemns sick, twisted, screwball attacks and dirty politics.

Nobody notices or cares when the *victim*
gripes about the low blows. The offenders can even say, "Oh, there was
nothing
wrong with distorting the truth, it's just politics so it's OK. What
dirty-arsed trick can we think of for next week?"

However, when a guy on your own side says, "Hold on, that's untrue and
dirty!"
it's like that pesty voice of conscience that the offenders have been
rationalizing away all along. It's uncomfortable. Nobody wants to get a
good
look at their own behavior when it is reprehensible.



Sort of like Zel Miller being ashamed of the tactics of the Democratic
