Sort of like Zel Miller being ashamed of the tactics of the Democratic
party?

That's an excellent comparison, and it's rather frank of you to admit that

the
dirt is a "tactic" of the Republican party.

Where did I admit that?

If there has been a groundswell of liberal attacks on Miller, however,

I've
missed it.

Lets just wait until he speaks at the Republican Convention.

You don't have to go any farther into the world than this little NG to see
right wingers insulting McCain ("whiner", etc)
for trying to promote some sort of honesty in presidential politics.

I recall you and the other libs attacking something the Zel Miller said when
it was posted on this board.

Hypocrite.

Guess again.
I don't recall ever attacking Zel Miller. Or anything he said.

That's a good tactic, although you need to
add a technique or two. Most discussions with you wind up with, "Oh, yeah? You
don't have a leg to stand on because even though my side is lousy your side is
worse!" Or, a Clintonesque word game (such as "I said major").

Shouldn't be any problem for you to post a link to it, then, right?

Since you recall it, perhaps you will refresh my memory regarding what it was I
said?

The burden of proof is on the accuser.
At least that's the way it always used to be, and will be again (hopefully
sooner rather than later).

Correct. I had no problem finding it using Google. But as your buddy
Krause always says....find it yourself if you need a link. ;-)

What in the world gives you the idea that the bilious Mr. Krause is a friend of
mine?

In any case, since you made the original assertion, the burden is on *you* to
substantiate it. I am frankly curious to see how you will do that. Just one
little link would do nicely.

That's a man of honor.

Not if you take a close look, McCain is an opportunist and quite
disingenuous on a number of fronts.

McCain of Keating Five fame. Don't you remember the S&L crisis of the 80's.

Yes, I do as a matter of fact. They were Republicans who took advantage
of bank deregulation that was pushed by Ronnie Raygun.

Cost the country billions of dollars in a bailout.

Since Keating was a rich Republican with lots of interests in Arizona,
it's only natural that McCain would've been in the dole queue.

"It's only natural" is great justification.

"It's only natural that jps has no logic whatsoever."

It's obvious you have no clue about how politics work in America.

People are bought and paid for. Those who support certain political
positions are supported by those who's best interests are served by
those positions.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

An argument can be made that it should have been the Keating Three. The
independent counsel at that time, recommended both McCain and Glenn be
dropped from the investigation. It clearly wasn't McCain's finest

moment,
but perhaps, it made him a better Senator. His judgment hasn't been
perfect, but he appears to be a man of honor.

Isn't it amazing how these RepubliCraps go after any, even their own,
who don't toe the line? It really is a BORG-like collective.

Isn't it amazing that when a Republican screws up the Repbulicans are the
ones the mete out the punishment. But, when a Democrat screws up the
Democrats all get in line and say it wasn't that bad, integrity doesn't
matter.

Bwaaaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaaahaaaaaa!!!

Valerie Plame?
Richard Shelby?
Tom DeLay?

Can you connect the names with recent events, well beyond the threshold
of legal limits?

Short-term memory?

In the case of Richard Shelby it'd have to be 5 minutes.
