I have a 75 Hp Mercury outboard that was made in 1984. The question I
have is that when I check the oil in the lower unit I have noiced metal filings (silver colored). I am not sure what causes this and what is necessary to fix this problem. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks! |

All depends on how many you have? If it's just a few on the drain plug then
it's normal and the cause is from clunking in-out of gear. "Brian" wrote in message om... I have a 75 Hp Mercury outboard that was made in 1984.
