There are also an increasing number of doctors saying the RNA based shots (it is not really a vaccine) might have unanticipated long term effects. I will get the shot when my name comes around on the guitar but I am not sure it is any panacea. It may be a placebo. Nope, not a placebo. I got my second yesterday. Today I feel like I walked 27 holes, and have a nice headache. But, I'm told not to take anything for the headache 'cause it might interfere with the vaccine. === That should go away in a day or two if your experience is anything like ours. We considered it a small price to pay for taking a step toward normalacy. Lips to God's ear. Fauci is not that optimistic. He is talking about restrictions into 2022. It will give the GOP a helluva campaign plank if that happens. I suppose we should take comfort that everything Fauci says changes in a few weeks to a month. === In my opinion Fauci is apolitical and goes with the best information he has at the time. That information changes of course as more is learned. It's not like there's a reference work on exactly how the epidemic is going to evolve. If it is a guess, we would be better served if he didn't say anything at all. He is a media whore. There are some You Tube roll ups of Fauci that are comical to the point of looking like a SNL skit. Why would anyone believe anything he says if it is going to change in a couple weeks? I guess it is just the kindly grandfather image that gets him by. === At least he's not spreading outright bull**** like Donald Clorox injections. You do realize he didn't actually say people should do that, right? Those people get their news from Seth Myers and Jimmy Fallon. |

Fretwell still has his head up Trump's ass and of course doesn't like Fauci because he works for the government. Here's another bit of good news...there's hardly been a flu season this year, which the CDC is attributing to the wearing of masks, hand washing, social distancing. I am not sure about the masks but I agree about the distancing and hand washing. That was all we have done for years to avoid colds and the flu. We do get funny looks on the airplane when we scrub down everything we can reach with disinfectant wipes but we don't get sick. As for Trump, just because I don't have your visceral hatred, doesn't mean I like him and yes, being the government mouthpiece spreading the rumor of the day doesn't make Fauci much more credible than Trump. I remember when he said Chloroquine was showing good results in the treatment of Covid, before he didn't. |

It was some ambiguous thing like that but it just shows Trump never took much STEM. He is not unlike the news readers who are baffled about what they are reading and God, don't let them ad lib. |
