We get our refund for years direct deposit, our social security checks for 15 years have been direct deposit to the same account. The site said I was eligible, but needed banking info. Sad, they are this incompetent. So you may want to check your eligibility and see if they have the bank info. Mine came through fine. IRS says they sent mine but I should check with the bank to see if they have it. I am just going to wait for my next bank statement. I am not even sure the bank is open. I doubt I will see it just by looking at my balance. Us modernized folks can check our accounts online. + I guess if you believe, go for it. I limit online exposure to my money. Me too. It's between me and my bank. You your bank and anyone else on the internet who can crack your security or the bank's. If I believe in what? That you or they can't be hacked. The convenience is well worth the odds. What convenience? I have enough money in the bank that I don't need to be looking at it every day. I pay bills, get my checking, savings, and credit card statements all online from the bank. Payments are made by transferring money online from one account to another or to the payee - water, electric, gas, credit card, etc. That's called convenience. Has nothing to do with how 'much' money you have. -- Freedom Isn't Free! We write so few checks that the wife realized we were pretty much out of blank checks. Been years since we ordered. She writes a few, mostly kids and grandkids holidays checks. I write maybe one or two a year. Same here I am still writing checks on banks that were bought out 30 years ago. They still cash. As the blank checks run out, I order new ones from the current bank. |
