This article does a good job of highlighting some of the things that
make boating in South Florida unique: https://www.greatharbourtrawlers.com/smugglers-run-floridas-own-mini-loop.html?fbclid=IwAR0Bb5U81PiNbugHzi8e-PLncxKKJE_NHaO-H8mcik1qofN-Fk5tQGDC9Wo Some good photography also. -- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. https://www.avg.com |

Our friends on S/V Ring of Kerry decided to take a chance and leave the Bahamas. They were able to obtain permission to dock in Vero Beach, FL. and cleared customs electronically. As they approached the Florida coast they saw two cruise ships just drifting around, waiting for permission to dock somewhere. Now is not the time to be on a cruise ship. We were lucky. We finished the cruise and left New Orleans on 29 Feb, before it became a hot spot from Mardi Gras. -- Freedom Isn't Free! |

If there was a lot of Corona going around you would think the servers and hotel people here would have it and they are not talking about an outbreak on the beach. My bet is none of them had it. That may not be true of the East Cost breakers tho since they tend to be I-95 people. Our kids are more I-75 people coming from midwest schools. I know the democrats will dump on a republican every chance they get but, so far, Desantis not locking us down doesn't seem to be changing much. The counties that were locked down ignored it anyway but they are North Easterners so the law doesn't apply to them. I think there is a direct line from the cases in Ft Lauderdale and Miami to New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. It flowed both ways. |

I talked to my golfing buddy in Bradenton and they just got back from a South American (Olympus) cruise. He said it was great but they would not let them land in Peru and they couldn't fly home from Argentina as they planned so the ship brought them back to Miami. Nobody on the ship was sick but they still had to steam around in circles for 14 days before they could land. He bought a penthouse suite on the ship so it wasn't horrible and they were not locked in their cabins. |
