Bernie, Bernie, Bernie !
Watched his Town Hall in MI last night. Gotta admit, like Trump, he knows how to spin it up and stir up his supporters. He was trying to explain how his $55 trillion programs would be paid for. Medicare for all will be paid for by dumping all private insurance programs (including union contracts) which he claims will save everyone the premiums they pay. Then, he'll impose a new, 4% tax on everyone to pay for their "free" Medicare. Ok ... but as the moderators pointed out, it still doesn't raise nearly enough money to pay for everything he is proposing. But Bernie moved on to "free" college in public schools. To pay for that, he's going to impose a 7% tax on businesses. Then, to finance his promise to forgive and cancel all student debt, he's going to impose a tax on Wall Street. To make up any shortages in these, he's going to impose another tax on the "one percenters" because, in his opinion, people like Mike Bloomberg shouldn't be allowed to make so much money. He called it "disgusting" or something like that. My question: What's he going to do when he runs out of people to tax? -- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. https://www.avg.com |
