A bolt action - not a semi-auto. My most expensive gun to shoot is my Barrett MRAD in .338 Lapua Magnum. I fire match ammo, that costs a bit more, but a typical outing is only 20-40 rounds. The challenge is dialing it in for the conditions that day and hitting a 30" diameter steel target at 1000 yards a few times. A .50 BMG would serve the same purpose. |
