You don't have to go as far as Clearwater. There's an Italian
restaurant in Ft Myers called Cibo that rivals anything in NY.

We just happened to be in Clearwater, driving back from a hiking trip
in Elijay Ga. We decided we were not ready to go home yet so we
stopped off at the beach for a couple days.
I am not likely to be down around South Point any time soon but I will
put that one in my pocket if we are.
