Not me. I just automatically wake up in the middle of the night for no
particular reason. It's probably because I go to bed early most of the
time.

Prostate is just fine so far, thankfully. :-)

Only 2 guys were keeping the lights on at rec.boats. You weren't
one of them.

I don't think Greg ever sleeps. He's too busy inventing things.

I don't hop on the 'puter when I wake up. Pee and back to bed.

For me it is usually the dog. I am a 2AM to bed guy anyway and if my
dog does not go out before that, he will wake me up at 3-4, like last
night.
We do like our late night run down FPL tho. I have always like walking
at night. It is cool, quiet, stars in the sky and sometimes a big old
moon.

I do have a problem that I can't sleep because I am thinking about
things I want to make.
Thomas Edison had the same problem. He used to live on short naps.
Most software geeks are the same way. That is why places like Google
have places to sleep all over the shop. I know if I am immersed in
writing code, I don't want to be bothered by anything and there is no
sleeping. You just get in the groove and go.

I used to walk my Springer Spaniel at 2200hrs or so but then we'd run into other dogs and he'd start barking. Then I shifted to 2120 hrs. Now..to play it safe (he'll be 12 in June) we take a short walk at both 2130 and 2330 hrs.
