Maybe tour boy Schumer would tast better with a dab of Mayonnaise http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/3...r-funding-deal Maybe if you had any understanding of Congressional politics, you wouldn't keep coming off as a moron. The Dems got CHiP funded, and gave the racist Republicans a couple of weeks of breathing room on DACA. If the racist Republicans stall again on DACA or if it goes nowhere in the racist Republican House, or if the racist Republican president doesn't sign off on it, the government can easily be shut down again. But take heart...your anti-christian opinions are still intact. .... For someone who doesn’t believe that Christ even existed you sure claim to be an expert on His teachings. Time you made another slam on religion, Harry. you’re falling behind... Harry's full of you know what again. The shutdown orchestrated by Schumer had absolutely nothing to do with getting the CHIP program funded. It was already in the bill that failed in the Senate last friday (funded for six years). Fake news by our resident progressive liberal. "A third Democratic senator said it was an unwinnable battle from the start because the GOP funding measures included a six-year extension of the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), a top Democratic priority." The DNC lost the battle when they put the DACA children ahead of the CHIP children. Then Trump slammed the door in their face over the weekend leaving them hanging. They looked heartless and incompetent, and had to fold to save face, at least the little that was left. The only question for the left is how badly this will come back to bite them at election time. |

So much for your rationale concerning Christ,Christians, and Christianity The fact that I think the theology part of your bible is a collection of folk tales and hooey, with a tiny bit of history mixed in doesn't mean I don't understand what it is supposed to mean to self-proclaimed christians. If you dumped the theology and only paid attention to the guideposts for decent treatment of others and decent living, you'd still come up short. |

Maybe tour boy Schumer would tast better with a dab of Mayonnaise http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/3...r-funding-deal One thing that happened is Trump blunted the effect of the shutdown by not closing all of the parks, the biggest hammer in the tool box. They allowed people in and access to everything that did not need the direct assistance of a ranger. Security was still there because they are "essential". The bird sanctuary here only closed the main office and visitor center but since they have a private company doing the day to day management, that wasn't really necessary either. Things like this might prompt Trump to push for more privatizing of park management. That would certainly be an unintended consequence of the Schumer shutdown. I am starting to wonder if we are underestimating Trumps negotiation skills. The government is running again, the democrats didn't get anything they wanted and he has set up the argument that having the government run the parks may not be the best way to go. |

And Chocolates Sundae Nancy along with Cryin' Chuck are still grandstanding, declaring "victory" over "Trump's Shutdown". You can't make this stuff up. Bozos. I suppose the faithful will believe anything but they ended up right where they started and they still had to relent to another CR in spite of saying they wouldn't. I call that a loss. I think Trump blunting the shutdown by not just giving up and shuttering everything went a long way towards them tossing in the towel. Maybe next time he will say everyone who is "essential" has to show up and those who are not essential should be prepared to defend their jobs when the shutdown is over. |
