been able to stop slavery without killing 3% of the population,
destroying the economy and creating a social divide born of war
that still exists today.
Do you really think the life a black man in Mississippi improved all
that much in "a few more generations"? Hell there are people who say
it is still not all that great.
It is hard to integrate when you are walking over a quarter of a
million dead relatives of the people you want to accept you.

I think murder is too strong a word for Teddy's transgression. You or
I in the same circumstances would probably have been charged with
felony Vehicular Manslaughter.

Felony DUI manslaughter can get you 20+ years (about the same as 2d
degree murder).

The primary difference is intent.

"Depraved Indifference" = 2d degree murder
To be drunk and driving around is bad enough but to go off and leave a

the Kennedy brothers are nonsense and not worthy of debate. I do agree
