D'uh, JackOff.
The whole idea of NAFTA is removing barriers and the FREE trade of goods between the member countries.
Our media is claiming 24 percent against Nova Scotians forestry products although our lumber comes from private lots...not Crown land.

In this country, we give the logging rights to private companies so they
can profit greatly from public lands.

Confusing....we keep hearing that the supposedly low stumpage fees the lumber companies pay to cut on Crown land is the big reason why American companies convince the US gov't to apply tariffs. It's supposedly considered an unfair advantage.
Shouldn't apply to my province though.

I'd be a little more sympathetic if your border gestapo was a bit
more friendly toward Americans.

Just because they have your photo up there as a "Designated Asshole"
doesn't mean all U.S. citizens are treated the way you are. I've crossed
the U.S.-Canada border legally many times, and never have had the
slightest delay or problem.

Your experience is not the same as everyone's.

Neither is FlaJackoffJim's. I've driven across and flown across, the
later in commercial and private planes. Cleared customs once in
Cleveland, of all places.

You don't have a clue as to my experiences going into Canada. And
I'm not going to enlighten you.

I'm thankful for both. If you had difficulties, I am sure they were
well-deserved. You shouldn't act at border crossings as you do
here...flaming asshole doesn't cut it with foreigners wearing badges. .

That's incredible. It's good that we have guys like Paul Allen and
Elon Musk thinking out of the box and capable of funding their own R&D
for this kind of project.

Elon is highly funded by the taxpayers. Of his 3 businesses, all depend on
huge subsidies. Solar, Tesla, and Space X. Space X, has crap testing,
documentation, and a lock because they are the only US company.

Did you forget about Boeing and Lockheed-Martin?

They at least test and document. My son in law works on GPS satellites.
Says they have had problems with Space X because of not testing welds and
components. One of the crashes was when the poor weld holding a pressure
tank in position failed.

I think they learn quickly from their mistakes. It's impressive to me
how far they've come in a relatively short time. Watching their spent
booster stages retro fire and land upright is a thing of beauty, and a
reminder of how far rocket technology has advanced in our lifetime.

They pay for those rights.

"...commercial logging on national forests through the Forest Service’s timber sale program, in which private timber companies pay the Forest Service to be allowed to cut down trees on public land."

I never stated what my experience was, haree. But there's no doubt the border has a deserved reputation for detaining and harassing people from time to time.

As usual, you're "special".
