It is what it is. Tacoma, nicknamed Taco. Get it? Need more explanation?

As for what you believe, yes, I believe you'll believe anything.

You mean like believing that Taco story? No one around here calls that
truck a "Taco". And there's plenty of them.

Enjoy driving your taco truck, Harry.

So, no one in your part of the flyover zone calls a Tacoma a
"taco"...B.F.D.

Never heard it here in the non flyover zone.

So what.

I actually saw a Taco truck today. Over at Stanford, and one of the food
trucks had Taco across the front.

Geeze. Gimme a chance to put a few miles on it first, will ya?

My buddy went to the GMC dealer for some new tires on his 2015 diesel
pickup. Came home with a 2017. They gave him $43k for the truck, $10k off
the new one, a $700 Costco gift card and some other stuff. So instead of
spending a grand for new tires, got a new truck for not a lot more.

I keep getting these cards for the 2009 Silverado 250HD with the
Duramax/Allison combo. But, I don't
think I'd want to mess with the DEF crap. With mine, I don't.

My son in law has a newer RAM diesel. DEF does not seem to be a problem.
Put a gallon in the tank and good to go for 5000 miles or so I think. The
new Trucks are nice. I am looking to replace my camper on the truck, but
my 2004 will bring about $25k, so only $55k more for a new truck. I think
I will stay with mine and the 160k miles.

$25K + $55K more for a new truck? $80K for a pickup truck? Wowser! And I
thought I was slightly nuts for dropping what I did plus a beat-up
Altima for a 4WD Taco.

That could include a camper.

It's not hard getting a *decent* pickup up to the $70K range.

No camper. Diesel, LT crew cab. Leather, navigation, air, etc.

I got mine at Carmax. Diesel LTZ with all the towing stuff for $20K less than MSRP. It was a 2009 I
bought in 2010. Very happy with the truck and the transaction. Don't use the navigation system. The
update CD was about $165 last time I checked, several years ago. The Garmin gets lifetime updates
for 'free' and was cheaper than one GM update.

Altima for a 4WD Taco.

That could include a camper.

It's not hard getting a *decent* pickup up to the $70K range.

No camper. Diesel, LT crew cab. Leather, navigation, air, etc.

I got mine at Carmax. Diesel LTZ with all the towing stuff for $20K less
than MSRP. It was a 2009 I
bought in 2010. Very happy with the truck and the transaction. Don't use
the navigation system. The
update CD was about $165 last time I checked, several years ago. The
Garmin gets lifetime updates
for 'free' and was cheaper than one GM update.

I am referring to a new 2017 truck. My 2004 was a window sticker of
$45,000. Go on eBay and look for the update CD. Got one for the wife's
Toyota for about $10 instead of the dealer $165. My truck nav system is an
Alpine system. Did not get one when I bought the truck and when the CD
changer went out replaced with an alpine system. Problem with the Nav
system updates for the truck is they are free, but require a window system
to install the updates. I do not have a working windows laptop anymore.

ebay seems to have the update SDs for my truck for $40, as opposed to
the $170 the dealers want.

Congratulations Harry Krause! A non-anti-Trump and non-inflammatory post. You are to be commended.
