Default Thank You Veterans!

On this day when we remember and celebrate all those veterans who have
served I personally want to thank each and every one of you.

I also want to remember and thank all who are currently serving.
Past and present your efforts have kept our country free.

I want to remember my Great-Great Grandfather who fought in the Union
Army during the Civil War.

My Great Grandfather also fought in the Union Army during the Civil
War.

My Grandfather was in the United States Army Field Artillery during
WWI.

Our Dad was a WWII and Korean War vet. When he passed we found among his
belongings 2 purple hearts, a Phillippines Service medal, a POW medal
and last but not least a Navy Cross. We don't know what he did to be
awarded our nations second highest award but we are all grateful for his
service.

To all our vets THANK YOU.

That's impressive! He never talked about them? There must be a way to
look up his service record. Your Dad was a true hero!

Would like to but he enlisted in the Navy at age 15. We think he went in under an assumed name.

Look on the backs of the medals. Mine have my name engraved on them - they came that way. And,
there's always a chance he used his real name but lied about his age.

Here's the form that's referred to in the last post I made to you:

So he got screwed out of the benefits he earned. That's too bad...
