I never heard or read about either of them, though I did see yard signs for the GOP U.S. Senate candidate. You like to wait till the last minute to vote eh. Don't feel bad we don't know anything about them either. I like going to the polling place in person to say hello to friends. I always vote in person on election day unless I vote absentee because I know I'll be out of town. Bet that takes no time whatsoever! You were the closest he came to making a friend on rec.boats. You're probably right. After all, we did shake hands. I've been scrubbing them pretty well since then though. He seemed to be a blowhard when we met, and he's since proven that to be a fact. |

Uh, no, that's not correct. Several of the guys here I befriended were driven off by the right-wing wackos, including several boat dealers. I never would have befriended a right-wing racist like Herring, but that didn't prevent me from being cordial to him during our several meetings at a marina we both used. |

I just turned the TV on a while ago and this is a surprise. I guess there are more people who decided to jump instead of going back into the fire (My 9-11 analogy) I just saw Chuck Todd talking about 269 and there are a couple states they think will go into recounts. The SCOTUS may not even be able to bail us out being 4/4. Will the democrats actually acknowledge they lost if this does go to trump? It was easy to talk about quick concession when you think you will win. We had one race here that the democrat got ZERO votes. I can't believe that is really true but that was the projection with 79% in. |

If it wasn't for Gingrich, Bill C would have never attempted to balance the budget. Alas they all lost their way and we have not considered it again (both parties) Hence I still support a guy who is hazy on obscure cities in Syria that we have no compelling national interest in. I've seen him interviewed on a number of non-foreign-policy subjects. He is hazy on everything. Is he on a permanent marijuana high? One of the talking heard gave the best excuse for voting a 3d party I ever heard. If you leave a ballot "blank" someone can mark it later. There have been people caught this year doing that on both sides. We may actually go looking for some voter fraud if Hillary loses and that is what they do in the next 2 months. I guess trying to throw Hillary in jail has lost some of it's luster if she is wiping servers with a rag in Chappaqua. I suppose she could go after Gillibrand's seat in 18 but Kristin may not go quietly. |

Despite my dislike of Hillary I was certain that given the $$ and campaign organization she had that it would be close to a landslide for her. I was as wrong as most of the media and pollsters were. My wife called it though. She grew to like Trump (being much more conservative than I). We have had many discussions about this election and I've repeatedly told her that Trump would lose badly. Looks like I'll be eating crow for dinner tomorrow. I was not and am still not a supporter of Trump. This election is unprecedented. Scary huh? http://gfretwell.com/ftp/Hillary%202016.jpg Tell me, was Gary really that bad? |
