I see you are at Morehead City now, you might want to get moving. The

supposed to transit Florida Tuesday if the weather guessers are right.

Unfortunately we're here until Monday or Tuesday waiting for a
generator part. We can run inside from here all the way to Cape May,
NJ so I don't think this next storm system will slow us down too much.
Running in rain and wind is not a lot of fun however. My GFS model
shows it moving off shore before it hits this area with too much
impact.

That turned out to be Wednesday but I guess the weather slowed you
down. I see you are coming up the inside approaching the Virginia
state line now, just East of Liz City. Looking at the radar, it looks
like the sun came out for you. You are not missing much here. The
tropical moisture Colin dragged up is still hanging around and it has
been cloudy and ****ing on us for days. I really prefer when we
actually get the storm and it sucks out all of the moisture for a few
days, leaving nice weather.
I suppose it is good that it is cloudy for me tho. I had laser surgery
in my left eye yesterday and light still bothers me

Lasik? You will love the outcome.

I'm heading out to the hardware store. IF you had an iphone, you could
track my voyage.

No my eyes are 20/20, I just had high pressure in one. (pre glaucoma)
They do a laser thing to open up the ducts that relieve the pressure.

If you took your boat, it might be interesting.

Indeed, but I don't have a trailer for it and, if I did, I wouldn't have
a truck big enough to tow the trailer. Or the scout and follow cars.

You need a store closer to the water ;-)

If we ever get trapped down here by flooding, I can get my boat within
easy walking distance of the Publix by going up river.

We're about 115' to 120' above sea level or, hereabouts, Bay level. If
the Bay floods this high, America as we know it is...over. :)

That sounds right. The west coast of the bay goes up pretty fast from
the water.
It is like that up in the pan handle (AKA Baja Alabama) but down here
I am about 120 miles from 120 feet up or down (in the gulf)
We are flat.

Wow, that must be a big mother of an imaginary boat. Snerk
